Triggers are extreme reactions to present day situations based on past experiences.
More often than not, they are unconscious. We don’t even know that we are over-reacting as a result of our history.
Until we bring them into our level of awareness and do the work to heal the wounds that caused them, triggers wreak havoc on our ability to create and sustain intimacy with ourselves and others.
